IPv6 support is now available in private beta

Kumo2 cloud servers now support public IPv6 addresses. The capability is live and is rolling out as a support-assisted private beta.

What we launched

Cloud servers participating in the beta can use IPv6 alongside their existing IPv4 connectivity. This gives applications a native IPv6 path while preserving the IPv4 access they already rely on.

During the beta, we are validating address assignment, guest network configuration, connectivity, and day-to-day stability with a smaller group of users before making IPv6 more broadly available.

Current availability

IPv6 is not enabled by default and is not yet available as a self-service option. Eligibility depends on the server's region and available network capacity. Support will confirm whether a server can join the beta.

Because this is a private beta, availability and implementation details may change as we learn from real workloads.

Who the beta is for

The beta may be useful if you want to:

• Make a service reachable over native IPv6.
• Test an application or network stack in a dual-stack environment.
• Prepare infrastructure for users or upstream services that prefer IPv6.

How to participate

Contact Support to request IPv6 access. To help us review the request, include your Kumo2 account email, server ID, region, and a short description of your use case.

Support will confirm availability and help coordinate activation. Please speak with us before relying on the beta for a critical production workload.

What comes next

We will use feedback from the private beta to improve reliability, compatibility, and the activation experience. Once those areas are ready for a wider rollout, we will share another update.
